ABOUT NFSC
The Norwegian Forest Seed Centre (NFSC) is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to ensure a nationwide forest seed supply of good quality and provides advice regarding seed and plant breeding. In addition, NFSC is responsible for the construction, operation, and management of forest seed orchards throughout the country.
NFSC is located in Hamar and is led by a board that represents various parts of forestry, as well as a representative of the employees.

FORGENRES INVOLVEMENT
NFSC will validate the newly developed methods and breeding strategies within the Norwegian context. Namely, seed orchard design and genetic thinning will become operational under NFSC.
